Well I guess it's true and they are going to go to weekly pay pretty soon. I don't know how I feel about that. I'd rather stay on the bi weekly. Then being stressed to try to get all the miles done b4 a cut off. Then again the bi weekly is what scared me from coming to JBS sooner.
Good luck finding a company that cares for its drivers. That's like saying you want a politician that cares for those who vote for them. OTR is always going to be a roller coaster, but hope you can find what u looking for. -

Most of the bigger carriers are doing it now to save their butt from the money hungry truck accident lawyers. Since they can't get us on log book violations. They are trying to say company had an unsafe driver who fit the criteria and they didn't do a sleep study. So Court room full of people who hate truckers anyway give guy at fault a million dollar settlement.
I didn't have to take it at my renewal but I was very close. So I have been doing a lot of walking, bad part is. I haven't exercised in about 4 years, and I kind of over did it. Now my knee's are on strike for awhile. But as soon as they get back to working I'm going to get back to doing alot of walking, and have already changed eating habbits. Diet soda's more water, and salad's. When I can find them. I'll be home in a few day's hoping to have shed a few pounds.
Day's of big lazy trucker are coming to an end. So don't be like me and over due it. If you decide to start walking. Take it slow and do lots of stretching. Me I did the stretching, but started out speed walking, and forgot I had added on about 40 pounds, but my knee's had a way of reminding me to slow my roll. Also if you lose weight you can get rid of most the sleep apnea anyway.
Have a great weekend folks. -
I was hoping to get on with JBS but the recruiter told me they were booked up for new students. I have my CDL-A and did 2 months of training with my present company. Unfortunately my company told me they had no open spots for drivers currently so they put me in a yard jockey position. I found out later it was all a lie and they just needed to fill the yard jockey position. Well i am going to call JBS one more time monday and if it is still a no go i might have to consider Stevens transport. UGHHH why cant JBS make some room.
