    Hey guys,

I'm currently in the process of prepping my 96 FLD112 to go over the road. Working out little quirks.

I've got a question on an air issue I've got. I stumbled across two lines coming out of the firewall into the engine bay... right under the drivers side windshield wiper. One is a yellow air line, the other looks like a vacuum line. They're cut clean. The yellow line will push out air with the parking brake off, but will cut off when you pull that yellow knob. The parking valve will not pop out even when the air is fanned down to zero. I'm assuming these issues are connected, but I do not have enough experience with FLD's to figure out the issue. Does anyone have any info that can help me out? Pressure holds at 120, and doesn't seem to cut out/on any more then the Columbia I tested in.

I also have two air leaks involving my A/C. Both air rams that operate the different flaps/valves leak, at the fitting. Can I pull these fittings without breaking them, recut the line, and reassemble? I can't seem to get them out... so are the brass fittings a one-time-use type of deal?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

the yellow line is the exhaust that comes off the dash valves, sounds like the valve has an internal leak.

    not real expensive to replace

There are kits available with instructions to refresh your dash valve without removing the valve body from the dash.

Those Quick connect fittings can be a pain. There is a tool to aid in line removal/release, but you might consider changing over to DOT compression air line fittings, they are cheaper and more reliable.
