I have logged local at company demand, it's not that hard to log it.

I don't do OTR much, I do regional peddle reefer, mostly to Chicago, the local was easier, but too sporadic, not working for weeks and not being able to plan how long we would be away doing the 'local' was not worth it. That local involved travel and working around a base staying in motels.
I work for a delivery company, not a trucking company, according to dispatcher #2. That's the reason given for the trucking company being unprofitable. I get home a lot.nicholas_jordan Thanks this. -
And the state rests. You by your on admission will continue beyond the point you know your a danger to achieve performance.
Druggies are still around or you wouldn't see the 1,252,932threads about fixing bad drug test, avoiding drug tests, or asking advice on how to get their license back after drug test. Even your supposed solution is just another form of government control. Something you claim is illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional
The tables have been posted. Even your vaunted(or vilified) government goons in Grain Valley concede accidents are down. Oh Ol' Spence claims it is because less new drivers are on the roads. Well employment statistics show he is as full of it as you are claiming false court orders enforced by Federal Marshal's. Probably the reason Orida is becoming a laughingstock among groups involved in highway safety.
Hell just look at the newbies coming across this board, I sense no slow down.
Like most of their and your tripe it is long on hyperbole short on fact.
End MN targeting fatigued driving? Nope just had the officers attend some training.
Make container haulers turn in substandard equipment by enforcing an existing reg. Nope.
Accidents will skyrocket with the new restrictions on sleeper berth. Nope they are down.
Ending ELOGS and EOBR's. Well we knew that was bogus when they posted it.
The HOS exists because as evidenced by your testimony people will drive beyond their threshold, it would happen more so without limits.Should Doctors be limited? I do not know and do not care. See I can look at a Doctor I seek treatment from and decide if he seems inside his faculties. I have no such option when people like you enter the public roadway. -
I still don't see where the Current HOS helps Fatigue! This stuff of getting everything done in a 14 hour window ticks me off. It makes me more tired to have to stay working for 14 hours straight. I would rather it be you can have 14 hours of work and 11 hours to drive in a 24 hour period. giving you 10 hours each day to still be off duty, but allowing you to get rest at more times during the day. Don't give me this crapp that I can still take time to nap in the 14 hours, because the pay trucking gets, it takes all 14 hours to make the money! so in my opinion, the HOS is more dangerous than the Doctor not having one!

shredfit1 and Wiseguywireless Thank this.

I have never seen any evidence that the hos makes us safer than not having them. I would love to see a study where one group abides by the hos and the other doesn't use the hos. I doubt that you would see any significant difference in the accident rates.
Wiseguywireless Thanks this.
