Been accross it once about two monthes ago for panther.
The sign said no passing trucks on bridge so I got in middle of the road and ducked close to the wheel so I couldn't see over edge of railings.
Turned up the church going music loud my hands and feet were both sweating. It's about thirty or so miles going around.
I've clipped mirrors before on lake charles bridge before, since then I get in inside lane and look at the cement all the way accross.
You'd be suprised how many I meet who don't like bridges? I met a trainer once who said he had a woman try to climb out of the drivers seat going accross lake charles bridge before. He said woman was screaming "we going to die take the wheel" , he also said most women drivers he had trained couldn't dolly trailer down.
I had a werner driver ask me once to [park his truck cause he was out of hours. -
I have iPass, I was getting on 88 west just west of 294???. Being cheap at times I was using coin lane because it can't tell between 4-wheeler and big rig. Saved like $4 LOLbarroll Thanks this.

I was in Chicago running for a friend past week and those booths are tiny. Never touched, but got worried.

This is the MTA site for bridge/tunnel tolls for trucks. If you don't have an NY-based EZ Pass, your transponder will be charged the cash toll on all MTA facilities. The bridges from NJ-to-NY aren't MTA, they're PANYNJ and give discounts for ANY EZ Pass and include overnight discounts as well on weekdays.
The problem is MTA got a bug up their butt about getting people to use THEIR accounts, so they've blacklisted everyone else from the discount. I'm about switch from an Ohio Turnpike Commission box to a NY box so I can get the discount on the Throgs Neck because I have been running that a lot and it would save me $12 a trip. Plus, if I ever did take the Verrazano westbound, I'd be able to pay $47 instead of $70.
Also, it's a double toll because it's one-way only, nothing to do with it being Staten Island. The toll facility on the Verrazano is too small to handle tolling traffic both ways. The backups would be immense throughout the day. Instead, it's easier to put all the booths to use one direction and double the charge. I'm really surprised they haven't done that with the other major bridges off Long Island. -
Geez. My dad blows through the coin lanes at 40mph in his 4 wheeler, and it still reads his iPass. I'm worried i'd pull up to the coin lane, and as soon as I dropped the last coin in, it'd read my transponder.
Do you keep yours in a mylar bag when you do that?
