My very first ticket in 1996 I was driving an old FLD and the speedometer didn't work. I got pulled over in VA and I got the bright idea of showing him the pegged out speedometer the company wouldn't fix. I got a speeding ticket and a malfunctioning equipment ticket. The company paid them, but I learned right then not to volunteer any information.

Get a lawyer, one who practices in that jurisdiction. It's worth the money when your livelihood is threatened.
-
Got me out of a 14 hour log violation for $200 NO record of it on ANYTHING (csa, cdl) like it never happened. -
Some localities have a Kangaroo court where you plead guilty and pay fine. Ticket is tossed in trash, never turned in to state. I have always had to go to court for that, but might be worth a phone call to prosecutor and judge.
-
Don't you have to have proof of that though rather then just your word?
-
Not saying it's not a good thing, just a lot of hyperbole on the website. -
Hire a local lawyer. Never just accept a ticket.
-
They accept your word as proof. And your cash.
-
Call a attorney in the town that issues the ticket first thing Monday morning....
-
Sure be nice if every state was like that.
