Just bought a truck and want to haul my Harley on the back. Looking for a standard turning clearance from center of 5th wheel to figure out if I have enough room for bike. I will be hauling refer trailers.

turn 45 degree and look.
You'll likely have to slide the 5th back some.
There may not be room for a harley though. -
I would assume that they put the king pin in the middle of the trailer . So wouldn't that mean that you would need at least 51" from center of kingpin to back of cab or whatever is behind the cab ?
-
Only you know the kingpin setting on your trailer.
If not, then go measure it.
From there you can work it out yourself. My RGN is totally different between the front kingpin hole, and the rear kingpin hole in my neck.
If math isn't your strong suite, build a wooden template and use that to measure, or set your tape and swing it around the 5th wheel.
Like I said though, you will need the kingpin setting from your trailer before you can do anything near accurate.

need the distance from the trailer corners to the kingpin more than anything else.

How are you going to get that big Harley up there...Coy

I am looking for an average working number. I don't own my trailer.
I am going to use this www.rampagelift.com to get it up there.
Will build dog house to go over bike. -
It's a fatboy. 38" at it's widest point.
Have 100" from brackets on back of cab to center of 5th wheel hole. 5th wheel can go back 4 1/2" from it's current daily working point. Think this might just work!
Little concered about weight. Bike and lift will be right at 1,000 lbs.
I have 300 gallon fuel capacity. On the occasional load where I need that 1,000 lbs I could alway run a little light on fuel. As long as I can get close to 12,000 lbs on front I should be good.
Anyone know what moving the 5th wheel back 4 1/2" will do?
Seems to me it might even things out nicely with the
additional weight of bike but not sure. -
it will take about 400-500 pounds of weight off your front axle.

Every trailer is different. If I gave you mine, it would be with a 18" setback kingpin. My reefers if I remember correctly had a 36" setback kingpin. My last flatbed had a 30" kingpin. It all depends what the setback was spec'ed at by the person that ordered it.
