Well....haha- yes they are all a pain. Steel tarps are about 80lbs and lumber tarps(larger) are about 100-120lbs. I have never seen one that was much "lighter" than any others. sorry-had to lol at your question.
-
You need to be in shape to be a "bedder"
-
Some of our lumber tarps are in the 150+ range. Our steels are probably 60ish.
-
There are tarps with lighter weight sides on them, it makes the 8 ft drops feel like normal 4 ft drops. No idea what the big companies issue to their drivers.
-
i think the lightest tarps are ones you dont have to pick up..ie:..contestoga,coverd wagon..etc..js
bullhaulerswife, aiwiron and SHC Thank this. -
You can get any kind of tarp you want if you buy it.
aiwiron Thanks this. -
Another option for lighter tarps is to purchase 4ft drop lumber tarps with D rings and snaps, have D rings every one foot on center. Then purchase 4 ft curtains that have 1ft centered tie downs, D rings.
Each section will still be below 50 pounds and much easier to handle and not get a hernia. -
round is a shape
-
That seems like of extra work
