Sorry for the low quality picture. It was taken at about 80 mph with my cell phone. This guy has a weight set and a bicycle mounted between the sleeper and the trailer. Saw it on I-40 East just outside of Raleigh, NC...

i was downtown Clarksburg WV last week and i seen a USXpress driver who had his bike on the back of the cab...i guess you gotta do what ya gotta do -
Thats almost as bad as the Crete driver I saw at a truck stop with a ball goal rigged up on the back of his wagon and yes he was out playing b-ball in a busy parking lot . WTF?

Thats just exactly what I am thinking about doing. Don't want my $350 bike to get messed up and dirty tho, I am hoping to find some kind of bike cover for it. I have seen it before too on trucks. Better then wrestling it up into the truck and throwing it up on the top bunk!
I am also thinking of getting some roller blades. -
Some truckers NEED to do a little physical activity.................

I don't think it is such a bad idea. I am not sure about the weight set (I already run close to 80,000 lbs) I like the bike idea though. Mind you walking is just as good.

I'm thinking a good ol' pair of tennis shoes may accomplish the same thing and take up much less space.
I do like sweeze's idea of roller blades ' maybe I'll bring mine when I get out there. -
I know some drivers that take their bikes with them. They do it so they have something to do while on their 34 hour reset and when they just have some downtime. One of my friends likes to ride around little towns where trucks are not permitted on city streets. If he see's someplace that he would like to visit but can't get his truck parked anywhere near then he'll just ride his bike. If I ever go otr then I'll probably do the same.

Bikes are alot easier on the knees than jogging for us old farts. Have a friend who had his bike mounted on the front grill of his truck. In fact, I'm going out on a run with him tomorrow for a week or so to see if I might like getting into this rat race.
