Hello all. Am new to forum and have question that probably has been covered already but I could not find answer thru search.
I have a 2009 Volvo vnl780 with isx 550. Whenever it goes into regen whether active or passive it never completes just keeps regening . Has had boost sensor and delta sensor replaced. Also has had filter and 7th injector cleaned. No codes or errors ever. Any ideas?
2009 isx wont stop regen

There are some codes the do not trigger a "check engine light". Ultimately you will need to have it looked at with a Insite to see if there are any codes and if the regen is getting hot enough. It has to reach a minimum temp before the injector will even fire, if not it will run for quite a while with basically nothing happening. There is also issues with how the DPF are cleaned. Some are plugged beyond cleaning. The DOC also needs to be cleaned. You could have some DOC face plugging resulting in improper burn. DPF differential pressure sensing tubes could be plugging causing faulty readings.

has been on insite still no codes, but supposedly there is a recalibration issued for that series. will take it in for that and hope it works

I have a 450 ISX and it sometimes has it's fits too, what I've found is if I do a manual regen and get it clean it will usually take care of the problem. If it's not getting hot enough, it will go on and on plus wasting alot of fuel. Let us know what happens.

Recalibrate the dash cluster. There was a calibration done on the cummins side that causes the volvo dash to read wrong. The engine isn't in a regen state but the dash thinks it is.
Heavyd Thanks this. -
Just did campaign/recalibration and looks like it cured. No longer showing it as constant regen and performed a forced regen and stopped on its own so hoping that gets it. Will find out next time it has to do its own regen if it will complete or not.

2 weeks...so far so good. Have only seen it do one regen in 2 weeks. No other flashing signs or warnings anymore.

How long is it regen'ing for? I've had some that'll take over a hr to complete a complete burn
-
Since the recalibration it has only regened once...about 30 minutes...before the recalibration it regened nonstop

try to use 2011 incal. There are cal. files with corrected mistakes. But do not use new incal with old engines, becouse they changed a lot in old engines calibrations, for example recalibrated with new files old good celect is Euro-III now becouse of low NOx chats, but I feel it is gutless)
