I've got a 93 Pete 379 w a B model. Has run like a champ for the Last 6 months. Had a fuel tank that developed a hole so I swapped tanks. Ran fine for half a day and now it's running itself out of fuel. The secondary filter is bone dry. I pulled the line loose and blew back into the tanks seems clear. I don't understand how it can run with that filter being empty.

There is a valve on the fuel tank that allows air to flow in and out of the tank. I had one plug on me before and it wouldnt allow fuel to be sucked out of the tank, which might explain your problem.
Do u have a cross over line or is it a duel feed from both tanks? -
Crossover line. I turned the new tank off thinking that would help and no luck.
-
Check that breather valve then!
-
Look to see if the hoses are tight something is Letting air in the line
-
Putting a new fuel line on her now. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
-
Pull your purge pump (hand pump) and see if the check valves are still seated or if one has come out of its bore.

Put a new fuel line on. Helped a little bit. 2nd filter is getting a little fuel now. Put a ful pressure gauge on it where the filter monitor gauge hooks up and its holding a constant 40 psi. Hooked the gauge back up and it's still not acting like it did. You can hear fuel dripping back into the tank when you kill it. Is that normal?
-
Change the Fuel/water separator filter. I had one once that let the truck lose its prime.

There is a hand pump on the engine that will take the air out of the lines. At least there is one on my E model. Have you tried to pull all the air out of the lines before starting?
