LOL not much help for a redneck is it. But then not everyone lives out in the back country of North Western Minnesota either.
Just do what I did with my GPS. Unplug it, wrap it up and toss it in the sleeper so that it can create another thing to trip over in the night.

i have the 7750 plt, and it is out of date with mapping, they keep telling me updates are out in a month. still nothing. i wouldnt advise to to buy it. guess will have to get a differrent brand that actually routes me on the right track and not accross fields and none truck routes.

I am going to advise against buying this product...I bought mine new last july and the map was already outdated...been waiting ever since to get a map update...and I find out that I have to PAY for an update to a map thats already over a year old when i purchased this unit?? This is supposed to be the platinum high end version..but really its not..

Hey Brian I was using a IWay 250 gps before and it had a feature called my trails. Why doesn't this gps have this feature. If I am say 5 miles of the highway the gps says it is unable to navigate if I put in a route in. For the amount of money I paid this gps should be able to do this. On the iway 250 I can be in the middle of no where and it will navigate following the trail that I came in on to my destination. Is there something that can be done with this unit so it will navigate without being on the highway. Also is there a way to input info in for canadian weights and measurements and tractor tailer combinations. Thanks scooby

We just bought a Cobra 7750. We go to some of the same locations quite often. How do you store same locations and is the SD card involved? Do you have to buy it seperately? We are not too gaget savey. Thanks

$500 for the unit then $80 to update the extremely inferior maps installed when you pay $500 is in my opinion gouging. Why should I have to pay $80 to fix the problems that Cobra built into the unit I paid $500 for? I am not Mitt Romney, this is a lot of money for me.
Mic Thanks this. -
7700 is a pile of crap to last map update is useless to sends you way down the road then tell you to make a u turn to come back 5 mile to a road you already passed don't expect much help from cobra or Brian he abandoned 7700 threads ( must have realized they screwed up on the map update )

I bought the 7750 last month at the Petro in Sheveport. After a week I replaced it with my old Garmin. At almost $400 this unit has become an expensive lesson learned. I have 4 major issues with it. The first and largest issue is it's almost impossible to navigate to a point on the map, on my Garmin all I have to do is touch the map and a GO icon appears. The 2nd issue is that irritating lane assist. All that unit does is go BING BING BING when you travel through an urban area, my Garmin only has lane assists when I am approaching a turn or a major transition. I was using that unit on a trip through Arkansas and Tenn I swear that unit gave me over 75 lane assists on simple exits NOT something I need. My 3rd issue with unit is all the brain farts it's had in that week. I had to reset it 3 times. I also resent having to pay for 2012 maps on a GPS unit bought IN 2012!!!! Cobra you are close to having a good GPS with the 7750, but it really should have been tested better before being released to production.

I am giving up on my 7750...it does Ok...but not 400 dollars ok....still waiting on updates...supposedly are available but can't find the map update anywhere....that and I really don't want to pay for it...so I guess I am going to go with the Co Pilot app for android devices and see how it goes...
