That is one very ugly truck!!!! It is fine to get rid of the mirrors and use camera's until something happens to them.

Gota love how the hood goes all the way down to the ground. Now I have not had this problem personaly but have seen it enough times. Where the front skirt gets damaged on curbs. Normaly its just an easy fix of just the bumber or front skirt. On this truck it would be the whole hood. And the way that hoods shaped I bet your looking at an 8-10k repair.

Was that a daycab? A 30" coffin sleeper on a pete looks bigger than that trucks sleeper.

Actually the truck LOOKS nice but I have to say it's nowhere in the neighborhood of practical. Truck of the future? No...more like R&D waste of the Millennium should the produce it. BUT...fact is it is nothing more than a concept which was explained at the Louisville show. It IS said however that the Cascadia's replacement in the next few years COULD look very similar to this truck with mirriors that close flush to the body when the power is turned off, and the Truck OS is very real indeed and research is being done to incorporate it with Qualcomm technology to centralize communication, data relay, diagnostics, and navigation in one place on the rig.

Well actually if you READ the article, it says that the passenger seat has been replaced by a work/rest area with a fold out desk and bed. My guess is that the bed folds down from where a sleeper curtain would generally be. -
Wish I had a practicle work truck. With a shower and toilet. They can keep the work area and passenger seat. It would be awesome to not have to shower at a travel-center.
