i'm seeking advice on getting another job in the trucking industry.
i was just fired last week from cfi after 6 months. the reason i was terminated was i had 3 motorist complaints in 6 months. on my dac report cfi will put that i was terminated for company policy violation. i will have 2 non dot recordable incidents where a forklift driver gouged a hole in the floor of one of the trailers i was pulling, and the other being a hit and run in the parking lot of a truck stop. with only 6 months experience, a clean driving record, no tickets and no accidents, will i have an easy time getting another job driving a big truck again? whom should i apply to with a termination on my record? thanks for the feed back.
recovering from termination

Gary7 Thanks this. -
i didn't know you could do that how do i put a rebutle on my dac report,
and secondly are they allowed to put a forklift driver gouging a hole in my trailer on my dac report? that doesn't seem fair. that 's not my fault.
i just want to make sure my commercial driving career is not finished over something stupid like some motorist complaints. and 2 non dot recordable accidents on my dac report that were not even close to my fault -
no they com on put stuff that will say comapnie policies oe safety or summthing along those lines they phone number is x-xxx-xxx-xxxx
it take a long time to get a answer from them as will dac other names is usis they are on the web -
and a forklift going thrue trailer on the wall or floor is company failer to keep there trailers in good shape -
i appreciate the resposes thus far, i think i just need a little re-assurance from someone that has been in this situation. i want to get back over the road and i want to get back out there soon. i just want to make sure i'm not going to get turned down for a job when i apply. is this the end of my truck driving career for a little while?

not even close to beeing the end you are still new to driveing at 6 months when you apply at you next job they will ask just be honest about what happened and they will hire you just check on the bad trucking company dac board on this site to make shure it is a good companie and if i am not mistaken you live in phoenix az us express has a miwest reg in that area as well as swift witch runs dedacated out of phoenix to las angelas and back to phoenix you live in the best hireing are in the nation good luck -
It seems like such a crock, that these companies can discipline you for complaints to these 800 numbers. Now I know that incidents can happen, and we can make mistakes, but half of these 4 wheelin' numb-skulls out there will call in because they're ticked off. Maybe for something you had no control over. And I'm sure they always take the word of the one complaining. I don't want to work for a company like that. I know people that would complain to get you fired and lose your income, just because they actually had to slow down from 90 mph.

There are jobs out there you will just have to search for them. I would get a copy of your DAC and see exactly what is on there. The hit and run is well.....just a no no. Not sure why they would have a problem with the forklift unless it was something that you failed to report after the fact, otherwise I dont see how something like that could be controlled by you. All companies will probably fire you for too many complaints called in on you, I think its six calls in a year for J.B.. Anyway, it could just be bad luck or maybe you will have to change your driving habits to avoid being called in on. Some things are quite explainable and the person calling in might really have no clue why you did what you did so if you do get called in, make sure you can explain why you cut him off or whatever it was that agitated him to call in on you

A can of white spray paint can stop almost all calls from the decal on the back of the trailer. You can't call in if there is no number to call.
If you want to do a good job, them have a roll of painters tape to make those paint lines good and straight. The decal will look like it never had a number on it.
I carried a good can of white paint with me for years. Good paint covers very well, cheap paint won't.
The paint will also cover up leftover hazmat decals that will not peel completely off the trailer.
