Really? What companies will hire you out of a community college that wont hire you out of a quality private school? The school I went to placed with TMC, McElroy, Roehl, Schneider, KLLM, Crete, just to name a few. What options could I have had leaving a CC that were better?
Specifics please.
This is the ONLY way I can see it costing more money, in which case you deserve to lose your money. This is a career decision. If you cant hack it for at least the amount of time it takes to make back your training expenses then you deserve to lose it. If you havent taken the time to consider this seriously then you need to take a lump on the head like that....maybe next time you'll make wiser decisions.
How many people are out there with tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars in student loans that arent working in the field that they majored in?
Thats a stupid mistake, I wont count that one.
I see that same statement repeated here ad nauseam......I have never seen anybody make a valid statement as to why?
Community college or cdl school

I think the words 'Acredited School' is what the OP should be looking for. Some of the companies hiring grads have a list of their approved schools. Schneider and Rohel have these just to name two. 'why should a guy go to 10 week school vs a 3 week?'. Example: Chattahoochee Tech, Acworth, Ga. has 4 senior instructors. All of them retired from the industry. Two of them are state approved DDS testers. It's seven weeks of hard core non yawning training. Hard to beat.
-
I had 3 weeks of hard core training and walked out the door with a job with a top paying flat bed company 3 days after graduation that paid me back for all money spent on training.
I dont see how that can be beat. -
Wow! I'm convinced!
-
i guest it all depends on the student...how quickly do you want to work, and of course money....... i`m going with cc here in GA because of cost and we have the hope grant...... southern crescent tech cost 1500.00 bills without grant.... 875.00 with.... for their 8 week program.....buddy of mine as been looking at private schools he`s been getting quotes of 3000 to 6000 thousand for about 3 to 4 weeks of training...... for some 875.00 sounds alot better........on a side note 2 years ago with the grant it would have been FREE!!!!!..... cut backs stop all that
-
With the economy the way its going, grants are going to dry up entirely......including WIA.
As well it should. I am tired of paying everyone elses way through everything. -
ur right about having to pay everyone way.... BUT this hope grant in GA comes from state lottery
