I was wondering if there are any good flatbed companies on the west coast. I have approximately 5 years of regional RGN experience. Every company I have ran across doesn't hire in California. Does anyone know of any.

Last summer Sherman Brothers baited and switched me with the promise of a dedicated gig that miraculously was put on hold in the middle of my orientation.
Their office operations seemed to be in order ... but, I was not impressed by the company. And no pay for lots and lots and lots of work is an understatement. They offered me .38 cents a mile to run their glass fleet and .32 to pull a flat. No money for an experienced driver. I laughed and purchased my own flight home, their solution to get me back was ride with a driver from Harrisburg, Or to Arizona.
Combined pays well, Lone Star is a good outfit, also hit up Empire Cat they do lots of transport both local and otr. I would look into ATS (Anderson Trucking Service) before going to Sherman Bros.
I do not mean to sound ####y about the bait and switch or the whole situation with Sherman Brothers. I know they were expanding in my area and delays are inevitable on dedicated account start ups. But, once I found out their "standard pay table" I knew it was not the place for me. I would have been taking a huge pay cut to be home nightly as it was, but their OTR rates are laughable. Their benefit package is also unreasonably expensive. -
Try Combined Transport out of Central Point OR. I know they WERE looking for some HH guys. Talk to Cheryl if you call them....she wont lie about anything.
kbrackett Thanks this.
