    Yes.

Plus-1 does not give the time windows, but usually the earliest pu and del times.
So if you really have a delivery window of 0001-2359, it will send you a delivery time of 0001-0001.

It gives no regard for transit time to the shipper, breaks, fueling etc.

    Total BS.

    fr8monkey and A21CAV Thank this.

Just curious, do any of you all feel like you will be penalized or frowned on in some way for using Mac 22? Fred feels like he has failed somehow if he has to use it for something as common as being detained at the shipper. Like, if he were detained at the shipper, he would try to make up the time by driving a little harder or longer than he had planned in order to get to the receiver on time and not have to Mac 22. At first, if he had to Mac 22, he would do it just before he was scheduled to arrive at the receiver. He is becoming friendlier with it, and will use it at the time the delay occurs now, but it still irks him to have to do it.

Plus1 is so much fun! It's like my own little casino . . except it doesn't pay very well and it only plays when it wants to. Think twice before you try to improve on that pair of threes!

Mac 22 is your friend, Wilma.

Wilma,Thats part of the unnecesary stress thing that moosetek mentioned, and i agree.I would hate to be new and put under the pressure that plus1 puts you under, you have no business stressing out over being late and especially as a l/op being denied the full load information,i dont like to mac 22 a load either because it does bother me and stresses me out.with this system there isn't really the proper amount of time to plan your loads.

    Wilma Thanks this.

Mystic...then you and plus1 belong together then....Thats all i ever wanted for plus1 was someone who loved it despite its quirks......Basically plus one is not hot enough for me to overlook its quirks.....and all the dishonesty(not telling me the real pu and del windows) beside I guess I just wasn't really THAT into plus1,but i did try to make it work for us....i still have good memories.......Well not really.....sorry plus1,maybe you will be much happier with mysticHZ....:biggrin_25525:

I can't believe Swift is still using that program. All they have accomplished (as far as I can tell) is frustrate all their employees. Frustrated employees become former employees. Are they trying to run everybody off?

I understand they had some problems with unproductive drivers, but they don't need to punish everybody for the laziness of a few. Just fire the lazy ones. Seriously.

Thanks for the info, everyone. Now some other things fit and make more sense.

    Wilma,
My dm told me to never hesitate to use mac22, that it would never cause me a problem while a service failure would. Tell Fred its important to send the mac22 as early as possible. My dm said the reasons that work best are delayed live load and multi car accidents. Be careful not to put in anything sarcastic or critical of the customer; some of the big account load planners, e.g., Target, automatically get copied on the mac22s on their loads.

Well, my current load will need that Mac 22 if the live load takes more than 1/2 hour or so.

I got the plan yersterday and took a quick glance at it.
Picked up at noon around 60 miles away, so I punched it in to my GPS and I only had 10 minutes to hit the road.
It deliveres today between 1500 and 1830, 280 miles away, so I figured I had plenty of time.

Get to the shipper and, long story short and lo and behold, it does not pick up until today at 1200.

So now I have a live load at 1200 and have to get nearly 300 miles by 1830?
Destination is a drop, so it probably won't matter if it is there a bit later than 1830.

    fr8monkey Thanks this.
