My husband and I our looking into Prime Truck Lease, Can any one out there help me out? I want to make sure that we our going the right way. My husband been driving for a while and I have my CDL too, We want to own our own truck. But I have seen a lot of things out there on Line that is scraring me. We love to travel and we do have fun out there. So we do not mind running 3-4 months out. So please help me out this way I know what Company is best to go with...

Thanks Tanya -
You can make a lease at Prime work, but its mostly about treating the situation as a business. Drive the truck economically, minimize your expenses, and it will work out.
You mention your husband has been driving for "awhile." How long is that? -
the thing i have learned from leasing is high fixed cost + cost of fuel and low revenue on loads = failed business and 4 weeks with no pay check!!!!allycatt2 Thanks this. -
most prime solo L/O GROSS
-
lets try this again. most prime solo L/O GROSS way more than 2000 per week to the truck. I'd say its more along the lines of 3500-4000 a week gross. 1000-1300 net after all expenses paid. now thats if you didnt go home for a week. or sit on your ### for 2 days because you turned down a load you just didnt want to haul or whatever the situation might be.

8 months since the last post on this thread

And what math that was done was vastly incorrect. saying the truck payment alone was 787. what an idiot. needs to get story straight. even the brand new petes they have now are less than a 1000 a week including insurance and quallcomm rental.

yeah. i guess people get sick of arguing about the same ole crap
