I work for a local delivery company. A lot of deliveries to tiny small party stores. This week ive had to go two stores that parking lot fits maybe two cars. Not enough room for a 45 foot trailer. Wondering if its legal to park in the road? My distrubtion manager tells me to park on side streets with clear and visable no truck signs, he tells me that its fine to drive threw no trucking roads I opted out of that one.

I do it alot to make a delivery. Never had a problem yet. Most local cops understand why you have to park on the road. as long as your quick they seem to be ok about it.

That is what ive assumed I try not to make a habit of it. Had a cop drive by me yesterday and give me a wierd look. Made me kind of nervous. I guess being in Flint Michigan they had better things to worry about :)

I park on the street during deliveries all the time, just make sure you put out cones or triangles if you're there more than 10 minutes.

    double_r Thanks this.

we're truck drivers, turn on the flashers and we can do anything.lol. actually backing down a street the wrong way, parking anywhere to deliver. done it. like they said , just try to be fast and safe, you'll be fine.

Heck, in the NYC area, it's quite often the ONLY way to pick up or deliver.

Mike ask your manager if he's going to pay the ticket for parking on a no trk road.If he says yes then park there.

I think parking in a "no truck" zone might be much more costly than just a "no parking" zone.

It also might attract an officer who is less lenient.
