My husband is the same way. He gets home on most weekends for his 34 hour reset but after one night home he is SSSSSOOOOO ready to get back on the truck because he can sleep better there. Might be because of the 6 cats we have at home and there always being one or 2 that cannot decide whether they want to be inside or outside and whine to go back outside AFTER I fall asleep. I can sleep through that, he cannot.

I usually take a week off at a time. I prefer having the feeling of a vacation, albeit no pay, rather than a couple days home here and there. I can get stuff done and still have time to relax. I don't like going home just to do work around the house which usually happens if it's only a couple days.

I go out couple months and take a week off usually 8 days.
Squirel Thanks this. -
Well, I guess we each have our own priorities. -
Oh, and they are good company for me while he is out on the road without him having a chance of getting jealous. And, I can talk to them and they cannot tell anyone else what I said (things like how irritated I get with my body's limitations are the normal conversations I have with the cats BTW) -
Well, we all get irritated with our own bodies limitations.
As to the cats that sometimes want to get out, what about a 'cat door'?
You know, a flap in a door that will swing open to let a cat get in or out?
At least you don't have 6 dogs.
That would really be reason for a divorce. -
LOL...them cat's belong in one of two places..outside or on a dinner plate
Squirel and xFreeWord420x Thank this. -
TransAm allows 4 days per month. My intention is to stay out for 3.5 weeks and take my 4 days. If you don't take them, you lose them.
Squirel Thanks this. -
Yea thats too many cats. Id run away too.

For me, 1 dog unless it was the type that CANNOT bark or yap or yip would be cause for divorce. Barking, yapping, yipping tends to be in the frequency range that really hurts my ears (the range is about 7000-7500 hertz)
