One of the benefits of working for a company that rents their trucks from Ryder, if you take your truck to a Ryder location and they can't fix it in 4 hours, they give you a loaner truck.

The difference being that most are lazy and would think it was great. To be a trucker you have to be a self motivated hard worker that's why not all are cut out for this job.

Jeesh. I was kind of laughing at Mr Digger the other day and low and behold I get to Laredo Saturday morning and my load didn't cross. Two days in this less than hospitable town. Yuck!

Been to Laredo many times.I did'nt mind it.Just hate the 2 days before you have a load. But all my loads were short runs to give to a day driver so I didnt gain anything anyway.

Maybe a salesman, or waitress, who works on commision.

They usually make a low base pay.
