Just looking at my options here. I have an invitation to join you guys at SNI. I've narrowed my list to two companies with SNI being one of them. I have two viable options if I were to turn in to a pumpkin. First of course is OTR and the second is the 14/7. I realize the 14/7 fleet is going to severely limit my earning potential but the home time is very nice. SNI says you can make 34-44k on the 14/7. I find that hard to believe as you would have to run 3,000 miles a week EVERY week when out, just to average $740 a week/38k a year. That's at .37 a mile which is what I was offered. Am I missing something? I'm guessing a realistic average would be about 2500, which would put me at 32k a year.
Anybody on the 14/7 that can share some first hand experience?

I was on 14/7 for 6 months and really liked it. I felt like I was going on vacation all the time. I am taking care of my father now who is under hospice care or I would be with Schneider right now. When I go back it will be on the 7/7. My home terminal was Charlotte. I got plenty of miles.

Depends upon your DBL. RoadCall knows my story, as we PM'd each other.
I'd just be leery about the mileage claims.
Either way, you're sure doing your homework, and I wish you nothing but the very best! -
As for the miles, I totally agree. I'm thinking 2500 would be a safer number to count on. I would love 3000 miles every week but have been trucking long enough to know that won't happen.48Packard Thanks this. -
As I've stated more than twice in these forums...you can do far, far worse than the Pumpkin.
Your situation is similar to mine. I was out of trucking totally for over 3 years, and they let me road test with the stipulation that if I passed, I'd be hired as an experienced driver. If not, I'd go remedial with a trainer.
Almost aced the road test, and off I went. I'm still thankful for the opportunity.RoadCall Thanks this. -

Never said I don't remember how, just said I would be a little rusty using a clutch again after 20 years of not using one.
Do you have anything else useful to ad?
