Got a call from Covenant. I'm supposed to call them this Thursday about setting up training. It will be in California. Anybody have experience with Covenant? I really need a job. I graduated from school Oct 3, and was waiting on Swift, then Davis. Its been a little overwhelming, first to be told yes, then complications, finding a trainer, not getting word. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? The biggest problem is I live in Central Wy. I really really wanted to go with Davis, but no trainers for females available right now, I was told. So I'm still faxing applications, sent out 2 today. So, at Covenant, team driving only because of where I live. What's the word?

If it at all possible try to steer clear of Covenant .... read the other postings on here about them .... both in the good and bad areas .... decide from there
Sorry about Davis .... here now .... seems like a really good company .... but it does get hard at times for people when they cant set someone up with a trainer
Good luck in your searches

Aw, crap. I just read some old posts. Yeah. Motorcoach driving would be more attractive than working for Covenant at this point. Thanks for the heads up. I can live poor, but not that poor.

I drive the "tuna cans" for a few years .... its a different experince to say the least

RUN AWAY from Covenant! (Forced Teams For Everyone, no matter where you live).
Depending on the "complications", I would definitely find some better choices. There are ALOT out there! -
Well I still got money in the bank, so my head's above water for now. Thanks for the replies. I'll back away from Covenant.

What a bummer. As life-long Christians, we thought for sure that Covenanat would be the place for us. It sure is deporessing to read all the bad posts about Covenant. Oh well...back to the drawing board.

OPAL, glad you aren't going there; I started out driving for them, and it was an experience.
MomNDad- Cov. is just one of those Crappy companies that hides behind a Christian veneer. The first day there the told us (noobs, 100+ of us) that the owners are Christian, but this is NOT a Christian company. Go Figure?
Glad you weren't fooled by their nonsense. -
Thanks for the replies all. MomN'Dad, good luck in your search as well. I was kinda taken in by Covenant's "we support the family" ads. Sad that a company would imply a family values environment to hook the new driver.

Well, new developement thank goodness. I just hired on with Werner and leave Sunday for training in Denver. I'm satisfied with the decision, and am excited to get on with my training. I got a real quick reply from them, had sent the app in yesterday and good to go today. So now I'm a Weenerdriver heehee.
