I am a female doing my training right now with a male trainer, with CRST. I have not had any problems at all with him.I do my job and he does his. Off times we both either hang out or just do our own thing. Some nights he gets a hotel room and I get the truck to myself, which I love.. love the alone time. Right now we are sitting in Penn, with our truck in the shop.. #### Qualcom needs to be fixed. So my advice is just take it one day at a time... learn and enjoy the experience.
Any female otr students out there with male trainers?

I knew this girl who started at Werner the same time I did.
She was put with a male trainer and after about a week she was back at a terminal filing sexual harrassment paperwork. The trainer would not give her privacy to change clothes. Came on to her a few times. She didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the bunk so she slept in the passenger seat. Oh and he was filthy and never showered. -
Oh, one more thing, like Double Yellow wrote in another thread, go to http://www.tatravelcenters.com/ and fill out the info for a loyalty card. Then you can use it for points/ showers at major truck stops (Pilot, Flying J...) So, if your trainer tells you will have to shower with them because they have only one shower in their card...
you can use yours (you earn one free shower everytime you use your card to get at least 50 gallons of fuel).
pjay and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
Female Driver Thanks this.

You know, I'm glad you posted this, cuz I am wondering about the same thing. I just feel like I'd be more comfortable with a female trainer than a male. I am going into this with my BF, but we are training separately. I am only hoping that I don't have to wait too long for a female trainer to take me out.
I mean, I was raised to be fairly trusting that most people are good, but there's no way to know about anyone until you are generally trapped in a truck with them. Not that I think all males are out there to get me, but its hard to know about people. So, I am not thinking that a woman trainer will really be better, but I will feel more comfortable, and isnt that what really matters?transportHER, pjay and Rocks Thank this. -
