We travel hundreds of miles per day ( local and over the road jobs )
We the 'Professionals' make America everyday. Life does happen.
Without the numerous jobs by CDL operators everyday. We continue to do our best at the task. Life does happen.
We CDL operators cannot dictate other drivers, We only do want is confronted and control our equipment the best possible situation.
Life does happen and human error.
We the CDL population have a good record. Anything with Passengers and weight or cargo makes the headlines, never win that media intrigue.
When we wreck is huge. no crap, the other motoring public is unaware how we affect daily life. yet they do not care. cut off a truck no worries, Ill sue if they wreck me or my family will sue if i am dead. who cares if i am at fault. i will sue !Last edited: Apr 22, 2012

It does happen. Just need to do the best we can and try to stay safe out there.

I'd like to see states ticket aggressive and reckless drivers based on video evidence provided through truck dash cams. Might make people start thinking about how they drive around large trucks.

I'm might be ok with that as long as the camera was pointed towards the road!
Privacy is gettting to be scarce these days. I just had a friend that rented a mini SUV, and when he put it in reverse, the TV screen on the dash automatically viewed the area behind the car while backing. I thought that was the coolest thing. With the backing visability of a combo, it seemed like it would be a great thing to have for professional drivers.

I've been looking for something similar. It would require a wireless, battery powered camera with suction cup mount. I've found weatherproof cameras that are wired, and wireless cameras that aren't weatherproof and require external power. Requiring external power kind of defeats the purpose of wireless, IMO.

of course you can always get out and look
MikeyB. Thanks this.
