$3,000-$3,500 a week; after all expenses..seems like average from what most guys are saying on here

I don't mean to sound harsh but it's going to come out that way. Also making it clear that I'm referring to company trucks. As the business owner it's your responsibility to make the decision and carry it out. If my company drivers "called it quits" after the truck only grossed $3500 for the week they would be looking for other driving jobs. If you own the truck, you call the shots. I respect my drivers, I drive too, so I wouldn't ask them to do anything I wouldn't feel comfortable doing myself. I value their input, and when I say I expect more than $3500/week that doesn't mean I run their wheels off (they're home 2 days every weekend). With that said, my trucks will be utilized to the fullest, just because you reach some arbitrary number doesn't mean that you've done good enough. When you think you have got it good enough, that means you better keep working your tail off for when times are tough. Remember not so long ago to a little thing called the recession?
Enough preaching from me, just don't get pushed around when ultimately its your butt on the line for your drivers' ignorance.Last edited: Apr 24, 2012
Wiseguywireless and Tiffy Thank this. -
Thank you! I think I have some ammendments to make because we definitely don't clear 3500/truck/week after expenses...its $3500 before fuel and wages are taken out.
Its good to have a place to ask questions. I am a fast-learner and I love what I am doing. I just want to ask the right prices, make the right loads, get the best price to keep doing what I love. -
wanna use my services? I can guarantee you a minimum per truck that will make you drool! My price will be reasonable.

Last week he didn't make any money. He spend more in fuel than he made. Any advice from experienced drivers on how he can guarantee to get a paycheck each week?
