My drivers don't get many miles as I do specialized work they sit reading and watching T.V. for hours sometimes, they can do anything they want as long as they stay on site. Food is brought in by a caterer there is plenty of food if they want seconds all left overs are given out to others. There are showers and bathrooms on site. They are paid by the hour and after 40 they get time and half, like I said I've only lost 2 drivers. My lady driver was going to run with the new baby cause she was worried I would give her job away, now she's going to stay home for awhile and enjoy being a mom and be paid full wage. When she comes back she will go on a tanker and run fresh water so she'll have plenty of time to take care of the baby's needs and hers. I'm glad we had a nice talk so that we could work this out to fit their needs I started a trust fund for the baby that will be added to monthly shes a good hand and needs to be treated as such.

Many a years ago I worked for a man that treated me like gold and I followed his example and have had wonderful hands. I believe there is no reason for companies to treat drivers so bad, they should be home for there 34 and able to have a life as life is short. It only takes a little work to find the right fit for both driver and owner. I don't have a turn over so I save money, my driver can tell me if they screw up and we fix it, things happen. In my adventures I have found good hands. I do right by my drivers and they do right by me. Jbs was the worst example of a company I ever tried I stay for awhile and at the end I let them know what they can do some to better relationships with there drivers, some change a little, some like jbs only care about what they want drivers are not even treated as humans. Someone needs to stand up for the drivers why not me.Jarhed1964 and wsyrob Thank this.

Well I hope drivers are not so dumb they think there's not better then Jbs lol. Anyways I was just wondering.
This last week from last thurs till tonight I got 2400 miles but a lot of sitting and my lOad I'm under now doesn't deliver till 11pm so 700 of the miles will have to wait on the next check. Oh well I do have a pp for a 1950 mile load going from worthington mn to Phoenix with a 2nd stop in San Diego. -
I'm trying to do a service to drivers, I do report my findings its such a shame that this is what truck driving has become. As truck drivers can't seem to get together to fight for thier self I do it. I know you all need to make a paycheck and can't afford to do what I'm doing I'm here to help you. I don't bother with the likes of jb hunt, crst, england, swift, and of course the evil orange trucks because everyone knows theses co. are bad. So I check out the ones that say they 0.40 a mile but really only 0.30 and big sign ons. In the old days this was a proud group of men and women. When I started driving it was so great, I only hope I can help some in the years I have left. If I won the LOTTO I'd really do this on a big scale, you can't take money with you to the grave. But like I said shame on you jbs.

Army Guy please don't get nugget started with/his/her whatever it is rambling. First they never drove for JBS, Then they have driven for JBS, She/he say's they make it hard for women drivers, but women drivers come on and shut him/her up. He/she is now I guess an Owner operator or owner of a company who has drivers, but don't say the company's name. Then she has a pregnant driver who has a baby and want to put the baby in an off road Tanker going to oil wells. Man I haven't heard such a story since the driver who wrote the book on how to get miles at JBS quit because he wasn't getting miles. Well I ain't NEVER.. OK I LIED I have but thats why I very seldom turn on Ch 19.

I did a lot of sitting this week my self. I waited all day friday to get my load that picked up saturday, and I waited all day Monday that picked up tuesday. But thank God it all worked out. Some weeks the PP are a few day's b4 you mt, and some weeks pp are few hours after you are empty. I know most of my problems because they had to get me to swing by the house b4 I go back out. The lady driver for JBS who delivered with me in Wisconsin had a pp for a load picking up in Chicago going to Maryland.
There are plenty companies better then JBS. Good luck with getting on with them. You see how hard it is to get on to the Row. FYI JBS does pay people with over 5 years experience 40 cpm just because 10 cents is not tax doesn't mean it's not what they pay. The most craziest thing I heard. -
Wow Jack I figured it out. You applied and FRE told you to get lost. Now I see why out of the blue you came on this site to start dogging me. Don't me mad that you didn't get hired. There have been many that didn't. I would say we have taken in as many apps as jbs does drivers a month and almost have all truck filled. So yes they are knocking down the door to get in and waiting. So you and your peterBUILD go down the road and try not to get any more tickets. Now if you ever want to talk in person let me know. Let's see if you can act this tough face to face. Until then keep god with you.
By the way let me know if and when you get a pay raise or a years in bonus or a 68 mph truck. I get all those.Jack&Jill Logistics Thanks this. -
