Wow, that was really harsh, and I have to say, you just entered the "radar club".

I could of done a better job researching some of my questions. I know there is *alot* of questions that have been answered and asked millions of times. No worries over here..
Back to OP, does anyone else have any suggestions to my problems?
Grounding is going to me my focus when I get my truck back. Going to ground the chasis and ground the antenna. Im going to the frame
And Im going to get that wilson 2000 up and running.
I just get leary sometimes because I have a company truck and we slip seat it with me and another driver.. and if something happens, im worried bout getting my equipment back and so forth.
Stupid plastic trucks.

Back in electronics school in 1963 We had a great teacher who grow up in a bad place went into the army and got his degree in electronics then tought us in our trade school .......
He use to tell us ....
" remember one thing your brain is not large enough to learn EVERYTHING "
Now this is pushing 50 years ago .... and he was right just about the time I have learned EVERYTHING in the book they REVISE it
.
" So gentlemen keep this in mind as you become the well trained techs or even engineers in adult hood Mr Brown has learned while applying your trade and working with others it is best to sometimes bite your lip and look stupid then to unzip it and prove just how dumb you are"
The last time I saw him was 1976 .... and 10 years after graduation he remember me so well he even know my HAM call ......
A ELMER/MENTOR can't answer everything or question but we can try ....
If I knew everything I would not be working for a jail radio shop NOPE ..
I would have invented something so big work would be just another 4 letter word .......
Bruce...
1st licensed in 1963 .....bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Now isn't that the truth, seems the more I put in there, the more gets pushed out the other side.
-
If I need to know any more I just ask the wife ... She is more than happy to set me striate .....
