So after the wife and i ride the greyhound for 34 hours to come down to orientation we get to the hotel and they dont have us in the system.. so they check us in anyways and said they would take care of it today. so we were told to be downstairs at 6:30am to catch the shuttle to orientation. so we were downstairs at 6:30am and get on the shuttle with the orientation clas that started monday and was ending today. they ask us what where doing and we said were going to orientation and they all said they dont have orientation on wensdays just mondays. so we get to the terminal in colton,CA and meet with the lady that does orientation and she said the same thing so now nicole at that time are freaking out.. so she makes some phone calls and emails and finds out that someone in tennesse ####### up big time... so now we have to sit at the hotel till monday and they were suppose to send the hotel a voucher for the time we have been here and how long we'll be here and they havent.. what a great first few days... then as we walk downstairs the monday class came back saying that they were all sent back from orientation and that they dont know if there still hired and they wont know till either tomorrow or friday... so there 3 day orientation just turned into 4-5 days... now nicole and i are in a panic that our orientation and if we'll even get hired..

Came out of home time and ran empty to Kansas City to pick up a UPS load to Portland OR. Now sitting in Salem Oregon waiting to pick up in the morning headed to Memphis. After all the time goofing off the last couple of weeks it is going to be nice to get a good paycheck next week. I am almost to the point of dipping into savings. Home with the kids in town gets VERY expensive. I did get to see my Son in his college uniform finally.
A couple of pictures during the autograph session.

    normal....?? yes/no

i've been with usx for almost 9 years and no this doesn't happen all the time but it does happen from time to time...

they have 6500 trucks thats about 8500 drivers 1000-1500 office and shop personal if the wrong person goofs it can be a little thing or it can be real bad... like for you the person that set yours forgot the colton didn't do it 2x a week.... they change thing like that all the time like tunnel hill may do 1 one week and 3 the next.....

thing change all the time but it's the same with most all the big companies

thanks (charlieMoon77 & flood) we just really want to get to work... the last class that just came threw from monday is still here waiting to find out if they are going to get hired.. but the thing we noticed about them is there is only 9 people in that class and that they all have been driving before... my wife and i are students and we figured that they are older and they have been drivers before so they'll get picked before us because we are younger and students...:biggrin_2557: the nice thing is that we did our 160 hours of school. have all our endorsments like hazmat, double, triples, tanker & combo's with perfect MVR's and never been fired from any jobs...

the downside of being a older (experience) driver is most have baggage (tickets, bad dac, bad csa scores, job hopping) you as a new driver that has a clean mvr don't have any of that going FOR YOU
