    It seems to be going strong out in the west...I just got a call from a company after putting in an application but its a two to three week selection process and Halliburton hasn't said anything either, so send them in now....Start with the major ones: Halliburton, Sanjel, Weatherford, Schlumberger, etc...

    I filled out a app sos staffing in hops I could get on with Schlumberger. I signed up with MTS driver recruiters too. I saw this company called T& T. I called them but the line was busy. They have a fax number so I called it to see if it worked and it did. I'm going to find a library and type up a letter before I fax in the app that I downloaded. Don't want to give out personal information and not at least talk to someone first. Hopefully I will get a fax back then I will send it in.

    search tnt and t&t on the forum...seems like I read something about TNT from an experienced driver that didn't recommend them..

    If you want to work for 1 of the big co's than so be it,send in app-after app and wait your turn to get hired and become a number to them.I ain't saying thats Not the way to go but if you want a job driving than pack your car-truck or whatever and take a camping -job hunting trip to west,south central or he ll even north Texas and stop wherever you see what ever kinda truck you wanna drive,and ask them the # to there boss or get there name off the side.Stop at any and every yard that has trucks and a shop and office and go in a ask them.This ain't rocket science, theres HUNDREDS of co's looking for drivers and they need them NOW.A professional driver is suppose to know how to find what and where he is looking for.Like I posted elsewhere,I drove in from Tucson and as soon as I passed El Paso I started stopping and asking,Theres NO way I would live anywhere near that place.By the time I drove 200 miles I was offered 3 jobs,but kept going because I gave my word to this lady I would hear her out,so here I am because she spoke what I wanted to hear.3 weeks later-$1800 first week-$2000 second week and same for this week it works for me.Co. gives you a blue tooth-pays you $50 a month towards your cell phone bill, safety,attendance and production bonus that will be $500 every quarter-and that each not just rolled into 1.This is not the only co. that offers this but chanch's are you won't find them in the larger 1's. not sure though.sorry for being so long winded but I keep getting requests to send names and #'s of co's that are hiring. if you want work and can stay away from home for extended periods of time and don't mind Long Hours and pretty simple work than pack some bags and a game plan and do it!!!!!!! otherwise you will miss out.     I have had got a call back from a company and she asked if I couldn't get my tanker. Well i aced the test. I went to the Arkansas dmv. They said I will lose my hazmat. So I went back to the testing building after i paid for my hazmat test. I passed it to. Now I have to pay for another background test and wait for it to come back again. She told me i could add my tanker and come back after I get my background check. Then i would have to take the tanker test again which I've just paid for. In the state of Arkansas you have to take all your endorsement test over if you add a new one. I just kept both of my test and I will add them when I get my background check back. Freaking crooks. I called the recruiter back and she told her what happened. She said it was the stupidest thing she's heard. I agreed with her. Tsa needs to hurry up and mail my papers.
