Ok, so what would happen if I went to the swift school and then decided i did not want to work for them after i get my cdl? Would i just have to pay the money back? I know that they have an 8 month commitment, but who knows, what if i hate it like everyone else that works at Swift. Couldnt i just leave after schooling is done, go work for someone else, and just pay them there money back for the school?

I'd try and stick it out for the duration, what makes you think another company would be better or worse? As with any thing, all have their pro's & con's.

Why would you even think of it when you could avoid this situation in the first place by not attending their school. You could attend a tech school and get on with a decent company like Schneider or Valley. Just my .02.

Edit: To answer your question, you are required to pay the full amount upfront to Swift before getting your paperwork that proves you attended their school, the certificates and so on. So if you did pass their school and pay the amount upfront, you could but see my response above before making the decision to commit to Swift.
