or are they bad?
-
They're not bad at all that's what is so messed up. My customers shut down rather than pay the extortion that the state wants in order to get permits for a frac crew to get to location. Last year was much worse and we just kept working right thru it. Tore up lots of roads last year and I'm sure that's the reason for the crackdown this year.
NDBADLANDS Thanks this. -
Yeah roads a big issue.

Thank you for the insight. I'll pass on the info. They were very concerned about all the reports of hourly rates and how many hours a day the trucks would be in the field. They wanted to try to guage the amount of time they'd be operating vs earning revenue so they could account for repairs and breakdowns etc.Last edited: Apr 27, 2012

They didn't mention anything about sending bellys up there. I think they were just looking to put their bobtail water trucks to work. I'll pass on the info though.
Thanks again! -
Bobtail water trucks in the oilpatch? You gonna haul potable or what?
-
PF has been business since 1954 but not the same ownership...Big difference there.
I get upset when reputable companies are talked badly about on this site or any other as well but you can't let it get to ya. Everyone has an opinion....espicially truckers.NDBADLANDS Thanks this. -
Well, those are the trucks they have ready to go. Hit up the Water depots and haul fresh is what they are thinking. They've got 4000 gallon tanks on top of those suckers with PTO pumps. Their Authority won't let them haul hazmat so they figured production fluids were out for now and they don't have any vacuum trailers.
I'm just the messenger and it sounds like you're suggesting that those trucks won't work. -
Nope. Wont work. Need vac trailers to haul fresh water. No one will pay you to haul 4000 gallons bobtail when everyone hauls 5500 bbls with a vac trailer.
Also, production water doesn't require a hazmat. I'll invoice you for all this information....
I'd tell your boys to stick with construction work.
