Also, you say you're 22, 4 yr trucker? No way, most wont hire unless you are 23, some at 21, but no way 18

I don't get it? Why do you have such a beef with trucking? Why not with getting a Law Degree? or going to Medical School? or becoming a Tattoo Artist or a stripper? The same case can be said about ANY profession or any field... You know... rocket science has really gone to the dogs now that NASA has all but closed down, too.

I could not have said it better myself!
    :biggrin_25514:
Truck driving USED TO BE a honorable profession. But Corporate America, with help and blessing of the goobermint, has turned this industry into a SWEAT SHOP ON WHEELS!!! Steering holders are a dime a dozen nowadays!

AT, normally I agree with you and love your posts but you have an advantage that most newbies don't. No wife, no kids, none of the associated bills that come with those obligations. Life with kids can be very difficult and challenging to say the least. You made it work because no one hounded you to come home every weekend. You could and did work as hard and long as you wanted. If I could do it all over again, I would have never gotten married.

My point is this: TRUCKING SUCKS! The companies use and abuse these new drivers because they know there will be another crop of starry eyed newbies ready to be fleeced every single day! They dont care who is driving the #### truck! You are unimportant to them and the sooner you realize this and either accept it or reject it, the better it will be for you.
