I run with it on all day and hardly hear a peep anymore..I still give bear reports...road reports etc but hardly ever get any info in return unless I get lucky and happen to be in range of an old timer who seems to appreciate the info. The only time it chirps up is when I am passing a truckstop and drivers are complaining about Obama or the movie man is soliciting or that guy in W.Memphis is trying to push his dope

I miss the old days running and having great conversations. Like I said, about 6 years ago, I pulled it out, and have it sitting on a cabinet in the basement. It got too crazy, but my radio was a kick butt radio. I could Dead Key the idiots but that gets you nowhere. Turn it off and put it away. Dont know how the industry acts today.

Ha, I just broke down and bought one today. Last night I felt like the only idiot on the road wondering what was going on. Clear skies, empty lanes on I64 near st louis. 10 miles later I'm in the worst thunderstorm of my life & amazed that golfball-sized hail isnt breaking my windshield. Flip on the weatherband radio and hear tornado warnings & watches...

Now I sit listening to crap about seatcovers & Obamacare and wonder if I just wasted 12,000 pilot points...

the ol crusties never showed them the way, serious question crusties, how many of you actively try and help younger drivers? Or do you just prefer to be critical and complain how its "not like it was 20 years ago". Speaking of which what did you all do during that time? This industry is in some sorry shape.

You didn't miss talking to me, I took mine out years ago.
Don't care about traffic, I can see.
Don't care about cops, not in a hurry anymore.
Don't care if you have panties on. :D

Still help younger drivers that don't already know it all.
Have been watching mega companies ruin the industry while churning out disrespectful little ##### like ol AZS there.

I still have mine and for the most part it's turned down especially in w memphis when the dope guy is pushing different colors of smoke. It helps sometimes when there is an accident or actually talk to an old school driver to pass the time other than that, you haven't missed a thing.

The only radio I use these days is am FM with weather alerts, I have a cell phone for emergencies, to many freaks share the road. And CB these days, I don't need Smokey reports or the location of drug dealers and lot lizards.

I always wondered why it took so long for that guy in the pretty pink panties and night gown to finally go to bed.
