I'll take a maroon and silver Western Star on steel daytons everyday over a pete or kw. I like the interior space and the quiet over the noise in every KW I have been unfortunate enough to drive

I will agree about the western star and it's room. The kw has very little room for a taller person.
-
and the star is far quieter, and far smoother riding. I'll take my comfort over looks everyday. chrome doesn't pay my bills. washing is one thing, but I have no time in my life for polishing. better things to do. like taking the fam camping. I spend too much time away already. I can work any job I want, I have one wife, I married her, not a truck that I am supposed to polish
Brit101 Thanks this. -
Trust me, I hate polishing and will not be doing it when it gets busy. From what I understand this only happens during breakup. Hope we can keep the shine up over the next while.

You guys think it would be easier to get on some place in Alberta if I was already living there? I've been thinking about just saying the heck with it and just heading on out there.
-
If you want to get on with a Alberta company yes it is or at least visit them and give them your resume. There are a lot of oppertunity that's close to you in kinder sly, swift current, estevan, Brandon, to name a few.
-
Flem37 go to Estevan if you're close, thats where a lot of poachers are for all the major companies.. just wander around town a bit, go to a restaurant, people will ask you if you want a job.oilfield Thanks this.

times have changed, back in 2000/2001 when I called an Alberta outfit asking for work, one company told me if my drivers licence did not have an Alberta address I need not apply.
-
Onetrack, don't think it's that easy. I was never approached by anyone when I stopped there but they are screaming for people. you will also have to consider housing. I hear it's real scarce there.

Was talking with my base manager today and was told we are looking for 10 more new hires, working with the cementing crews in lloydminster.
Brit101 Thanks this.
