is it still hot down there? my a/c wouldn't work in Florida but as soon as i made it half way through Ga it started blowing cold again.. Been raining all morning up here in NJ, now it's cold and drizzling while i'm backed into the dock at this POS shipper. I think i'm burnt out, cause i've been getting upset lately over stuff that normally doesn't bother me. Truckers hanging me out to dry, boxing me in, the signs for shippers and receivers that oh so conviently happen to be placed behind a small bush which later grows into a rather large tree. Which causes you to miss the truck entrance and have to go three more miles just to do a UTurn on these crazy NJ roads and then travel six miles back just to do another UTurn and then once you make it into the receiver no one gives you any info and there's no signs anywhere to explain anything, and when you ask "where do i check in, where do i park my truck, where do i get an empty, where do you want me to drop this load???" people give you attitude as if you've been to their facility a million times

Hang in there Mitch. I don't think your burnt out at all. Just settling in to the reality of this trade. What you described is me everyday. Just ask mitrucker. I wear him out on the phone everytime we chat. Perhaps chatting with your codrivers would help you get things off your chest as well. I cuzz like a sailor now that I drive a truck. Sham
    e on me.

Yeah, i know it's the reality of the trade, i've accepted that, but normally i just laugh situations off and joke about it later, and by the time it started to get to me, heck, i'd be headed home for my three days.. well i just came off of my three days, and it didn't seem like i got any rest.. i spent the whole time trying to get my IFTA and IRP straighten out (still haven't managed to do it yet) and get stuff ready for my wife's birthday, and i had to do some work to my pickup.. normally i go home and just stay in the apartment for the full three days playing hid n' go seek with our cat and some xbox.. xbox was broke and i didn't play with the cat much.. i'ma take home time again in about two weeks, hopefully it'll be the much needed reset.

The only things I used there was parking, scanner, restroom, and fuel island. No problem with those. Scale was down and shop was closed. No close food options. Terminal sits a few miles from the interstate. They do have a large snack section.

Indy Term waiting on a relay.. went to try and throw my truck in the shop for an A service, and the guy told me i needed to go get it signed off by ops, i asked what for and he said so they'll be sure you can make your delivery, i told him i wasn't even under load and he just shrugged his shoulders at me.. i called dispatch and they said if the load makes it to the yard quick enough then don't worry about the shop and they'll route me through Charlotte.

something must be in the air, because all day while i was running back and forth across I70, drivers were complaining about other drivers b.s'in on the highway.. arguements getting started because someone hung someone else out, or someone isn't going fast enough, someone is riding the line, someone i keeps hitting brakes.. least to say it's been interesting.
