With the new peterbilt dash you cannot stick your leg there anymore (really sucks)
And you can't get vent windows in a pete either

the new truck might be a westernstar guys
-
What about refurbishing an older truck - just completely from top to bottom replace, rebuild, or swap with reman... ...everything - a quality paint job, the works? Does anyone out there do that along the lines of how Fitzgerald builds gliders? Would it save money over buying a glider that was ready to roll?
-
Why not order a new KW T680 and take advantage of the more modern and quieter cab.
-
Western Star will do a glider for ya as well. Plenty of room compared to a Pete or KW. Flat floor from the cab to the sleeper, and on and on.
-
Seems to be the people I know who miss the vent windows seem to be all smokers. They're the only ones I know who ever used them.
Too much plastic junk. The T2000 was a POS and this seems to be just a modified version of that but with an aluminum cab.
Steel cab! Come one WS, it's 2012! I saw a nice one in a mill the other day and the bottom of the doors were rusted. I thought we got away from that crap when Ford stopped making trucks! Nice trucks otherwise and one of the few that will actually build a custom truck. -
Contact Bruce at Pittsburgh Power and ask about his glider trucks.

Bought mine thru Fitzgerald, build time is 1-2 weeks. Thats if you choose one of the rolling gliders they have. The have 20+/- daycabs and 100+ mid & raised roof. All are loaded. If u were to special order , Freightliners build time is 45+ days plus Fitzgeralds time.
Personally, gliders are the only option. Ive heard and seen first hand all the continuous issues and problems with new. Its a joke around here with the guys running the new that they have visitation rights for about a week before it goes back to the dealer!Last edited: May 2, 2012
