Couple buddies of mine work for SAIA I think they were both topped out at $.50 a mile last time I heard. They stay in hotel rooms every night.
I think Sysco pays by the hour. Depending on where you live their pay starts around $20 an hour. I used to have a business card I picked up at Sysco that listed their average driver wages and benefits. If I can find it, Ill scan and post it here for you. -
I just got an offer from them for 21.48 an hour for local work. Time and a half overtime. Anywhere from 60-70 hrs per week. But you do load and unload by forklift and electric pallet jack.
-
sysco pays between 18-22 or by the case its mostly unloaded by hand cart its really hard work but you'll make 55k by mistake im currently on pace to make 68k
-
So that's what they pay huh, sounds good.I went there a few weeks ago but noone was there.Think i'll stop by again this Friday. But unloading by forklift?????????????????????? I don't know about that, lol.
-
Don't worry, they will train you on all forklifts and pallet jacks if needed.
-
I know they just laid a bunch of people off at there Indy terminal.

Saia has linehaul drivers and local drivers.
Linehaul drivers run from one Saia terminal to another, generally pulling sets. Local drivers go out and peddle freight locally and are home every night. -
Sysco is ABC pay that means. Activity Based Compensation when I left in 2010 it was 18.35 hr with 106 pieces a hour in order to get the bonus. Follow all rules and regs. Cause they follow you and you never know when. I was there 5 years got a hernia and could not keep pace anymore. Knoxville was 15-20 stops a day
-
We arent that heavy in baltimore although he sell roughly 60k cases a day. 19.86 a hour, abc is .275 per city case .215 for outside sity .53 a mile 3.55 a stop 90 cases a hour is whats expected. We average about 450 a truck on straight trucks around 600 on trailers usually no more that 12 stops
