Attention all rookies and wannabes: Local Jobs for New Drivers

This is how I got started.
I've got about $200 invested in my class a.

 

Thanks for the info Pete1. I have a quick question that maybe you can help me out with. I set up to go to orietation with a company yesterday and today I got a better offer from a different company. The orientation I set up for is not for another two weeks. Do you know if I cancel going to this orientation if it could negatively affect my DAC. I dont want that to happen before I even get my first job in the industry.

 

I'm not sure, but ill let you know, because I'm in the same boat.
I accepted a job two weeks ago and then a better offer came along.
Soooooo, we let them know I wasn't coming to orientation.
They seemed ok with it
I will know for sure soon.
But I'm not going to let it stop me from doing what's best for me.

 

No they can't affect your DAC if you don't work for them yet.

 

thats what i was thinking. i just wanted to make sure. it would of just been a bad way to start off. But like Pete1 said you have to do what is best for you

 

I was just really nice about it because you don't want to burn bridges. You never know.

 

what is Wife .... ?? is that a good or a bad thing,,,,, dose it cost a lot ??? hard to maintain ?? i do not think i have one on my truck yet ,, hmmmm ,,,,

I've read on this board, many times (as a guest prior to joining) to NOT attend orientations with companies you don't really want to work for because yes, they can and do report that on your DAC. I'm too new to know if that's truth or fiction, but I've seen it several times from several different posters...
