Hello guys and gals. I'm curious to know what kind of miles solo OTR drivers are getting now a days with USX?
It seems to me that Wedge is the only solo driver on here that constantly gets decent miles. Am I wrong? For me decent is 2700-3000+. I worked at USX in 2003-2004, I did well until they regionalized the whole country. I wound up in the SE Region and my miles went to hell. We were constantly running to the rail yard and basically became nothing more than short haul and a support system for teams. I see they only have two regions now along with OTR for solos.
So, solo OTR, how many miles do you get in a typical week?

Seriously? .... The title is self explanatory yet 50 people have read this thread and not ONE person can share his/her experience?
Nice to see so many helpful USX drivers

many factors come into play with this question, it really depends on what comes ones way, time of pick up and delivery, how long one sits at each end, breakdowns, hos ect, I've been getting a monthly average close to 2600 per week (til break downs started) at 2600, feels like I'm sitting more then workin

If they regionalized the whole country, what's the chances that the 50 viewers of the post are truly solo OTR?
-
Where are you seeing this? I asked about OTR solo and they told me I had to do regional.
-
ut oh i'm not usx, just bumped into some of the crew doing a dedicated out of a walmart dc
-
Well if you actually worked at USX now, you would know that answer.
-
Maybe you live in one of the two areas that are regional only, just a guess? When I was on their site recently it showed NE and Upper MidWest Regions, if I remember correctly?
-
Yes there are always many factors, it's all part of trucking, #### happens. I understand you have good weeks and bad weeks but it all averages out in the end.
I hear you on 2600, I feel the same way. I prefer to be at 3000+ a week when I'm out there 7 days and not broke down. I'm guessing it's the weekend freight that probably kills your miles. Need at least 1000 miles over a weekend and that probably doesn't happen much? -
im avg about 25-2700 miles per week, bad week is about 1800, good week about 3300, i will say though even on a bad 1800 mile week , id still have a very good paycheck, reason being truck is paid off.
