Not what I expected... I thought that there would be some class training, going over the CDL exam.. There were about 50 or so yesterday, and less than 10 of us went to the DMV today... So if you plan on coming to prime, make sure you can study the CDL permit test on your own, or get it in your own state... it ran me 32 something... in my home state... Texas, it would have caust me 11...
Finished day 2... all simulations done... Training pretrip tomorrow, and the next day... Friday I get my trainer... Sim's are cool, but the bald headed dude is ####y ### rude... I mean really really rude... I ask one question, and he acts like im stupid, and gave me a responce that would make anyone wana whoop up on him.... Really Mr. Bald guy... Guess if you loose your hair you get menopause for men right?
Anyway... sounds like its going to be a good company, except the Campus Inn has bed bugs... at least my room does... Seems these trainers, class teachers, etc... dont like there job... they are all way too stressed and it shows... Other than that, the food really sucks... Sure its alot of food, and its free the first week, but ive had Prision food that taste better...
Well Ill post later on this week, with the rest of training... I dont wana make Prime sound bad... After all there training program is better than anyone elses... You will learn alot more on the truck, one on one with a trainer than with any other company, or school. I know im going to learn more, and they pay much better than anyone else...
My advice for new drivers... study for your permit on your own...

Bed bugs? Not cool. Did you tell them? Check your clothes. They are hard to get rid of.
-
So, what will you do when you run into a receiving clerk that gives you attitude like that?
The whole time you're there, you're being evaluated. It's one big job interview. It sounds like you may not be cut out for the kind of situations that you may encounter while working for Prime. -
yeah i think im gonna stay at a different hotel now that you mentioned that.
-
Oh yeah, you really did your research well...
Its been said numerous times here that you are on your own passing the permit test... Prime gives you the sections to study and it's really a first test to see if you are really committed to sticking around.
We've seen your type of posts before...
I'm taking bets, who wants in? -
I'm in, LOL. Unfortunately, I won't be betting against you, but with you. Most people don't criticize the food. Never having had it, I can't comment.
The info on test cost was available before he made the trip. He made the choice to wait. How is that Prime's fault. WE always recommend getting your permit at home before heading to Prime.
I will say, if you choose to stay somewhere other than Campus Inn, Prime WILL choose not to pay for it. -
Millenium has better food... The Campuss Inn isnt the Ritz... Youre not staying there long. The bald guy can get a attitude, but no worse than a lot of customers. Wait til you get out in the real world... It gets worse...
windsmith Thanks this. -
It is a better experience than what I was expecting

What U2 said. You're being evaluated, and part of it is to see if you go off on people easily.
IMO, your temperment would seem to be unsuitable for the career. Won't make it out of PSD. -
I'm in.
Gonna have to learn to go with the flow in order to make this job work. Just because someone is rude, no need to comment on it. Most receivers are harried and busy and rude.
Food, well food is food and that is what Tabasico Sauce is for. The Inn does not have the best food granted, but hey, its free.
Bed bugs, When I was there last week I did notice a pest truck, so they are working on it I reacon.
