Using a Columbia as an example of a quality truck is like using Richard Simmons as an example of a mans man!:biggrin_25522:

Who want's a sleeper? I have a house for sleeping, a truck is for driving!:biggrin_2559:

    I want a sleeper.

The truck is a HOME for some of us. Like me, I enjoy sleeping in the truck and I spend a month at a time on the road. Go home for a week.

I've been looking at star cars. Cheaper than the kW and Pete. I like the western star interiors

I like that one dealer I called said it'd take me about 5 hours just to go through every custom option available from the factory. And that would be just for the exterior. He said if i wanted to customize every little detail on the truck in and out it would take almost a whole day.

Takes a long time line sheet on a truck is like 20 pages long. Ordered my down to the nuts and bolts. Was a lot of work. And when it's your money it's a lot to think about.

Whew... I sure feel better about my 2013 glider order with factory rebuilt 500 hp Series 60, factory rebuilt 18 speed, and brand Meritor 14x axles...... for the whopping total of $110,000. There would have to be a LOT of high ticket freight out of California to make me want to ante up another $55,000 for a new truck with all that emissions stuff on it.

But then, some have a need to go that route. I took my last load in and out of California in 1999, and haven't regretted one minute that I have not gone back. It saves the freight for those that want to. See what a nice guy I am! LOL
