I don't need to have worked for CR England or any other company to understand that no one can force me to violate the law unless I am willing to do so. As far as signing a lease purchase for a day or 3 years with any carrier, it isn't going to happen. I can read and understand that most of them are not in my best interests. I don't blindly sign a contract without doing my homework. I have the discipline to save my money so that I can actually buy a truck rather than renting one from another carrier. If you run illegally then you have no one to blame but yourself. These leases are not designed to "help" the drivers. They are designed to save money for the company and most will make a profit from leasing them to drivers. We each need to take responsibility for our own actions. If you signed a lease with CR England then you did it with your own free will. It was your responsibility to investigate the program and industry BEFORE signing a contract. I can tell you one thing. If I didn't have any money saved, didn't have decent credit or enough to pay cash for a truck, I would stay a company driver. Most of those who sign a lease purchase do so out of greed. You want to make more money than if you stayed a company driver. Don't blame the company or others for your failure. Everyone fails. It is how you handle failure that makes the difference. When you get knocked down you pick yourself up, learn from your mistakes, regroup, and try to not make the same mistakes again. People who win at life don't go around wasting time blaming others for their failure. They learn from it and go on with their life.

No one can force you to run over your hours just like they didn't hold a gun to your head and force you sign a fleece!
Man up and admit YOU made a mistake by signing on the line and compounded it by going over your avail hours
How can you blame someone else? The key was in your hand right? Did they say do it or your fired? THAT WAS THE TIME TO QUIT!!
Tazz and Onetruckpony Thank this. -
G/man ,ya need to look around at the companies that are out there, There are still COMPANIES that are forcing their drivers to run illegal .I know that for a fact ,or you go find another job. They are drivers that don't want to lose their job and have a family to raise and like those big dollars so they do as the company says. In fact, I know of a company or two that ACTUALLY forces the driver to log the way the owner tells them to do or out the door. I did just that. But nothing happens to that company and drivers keep working for him. Now ,what do ya do ? Like i said before, G/MAN ya need to look out there there more companies out there then is seen to forcing the drivers to run illegal and if you say something they black ball ya when you go to find another.THATS A FACT TO.

If you have a decent MVR and work history, there is no reason that you need to work for a company such as this. If a company does try to force their drivers to run illegally. it is only a matter of time before they get caught along with the drivers who participate. I have been in a position where someone has told me to run illegally. I refused. If I were with such a company I would leave them as quickly as I could find another position. A driver with a good MVR can always find a driving job. At one time it was the norm in this business to run hard and do what you must to get the load delivered as quickly as possible. Many had more than one log book and more than one drivers license. That is no longer the norm and the risks are much too great to take a chance on ending your career. If you are running illegally and get involved in a serious accident you could lost your license and perhaps your freedom. If there are carriers out there that are constantly pushing drivers to run illegally, then there are ways to deal with them. If you are being pushed to run illegally, then you do have a choice. You can quit and get another job. Or, you can stay with the company and take your chances of being caught. It is still a choice that every driver must make for themselves.chalupa Thanks this. -
How much risk are you willing to take for a few extra dollars?
Push comes to shove they will put another sucker in the seat while you go flip burgers after your record is trashed and you are no longer allowed to drive.
I know more than one that is now working at a tire shop, or cleaning the truck stop after running outside the lines.
I talk to them everyday while I'm getting fuel

Wow, BigMothaThruckers whole year of experience has made him one salty dawg. Lose the attitude, bro. I HAVE worked for CR England. It was my first company. I signed the #### lease. I learned the lesson the hard way that I am solely responsible for whether I'm legal or not. Are they a dirty company that will crap on you? Sure. Are you capable of leaving and finding a new job? Yep. So chill out and quit #####ing.
