Why would someone leave the scene of an accident, and risk losing there CDL?

Stories like this one are screwed up..... Your CDL, is what puts bread on the table, so again, why would someone chance losing that? -
It is VERY possible he never felt it and if he wasn't watching the mirror never saw it. This is a tough position to be in if you're the driver.

I feel certain he didn't know he clipped a car.
But after seeing the news realized what happened. -
The news report said he stopped first, then took off. Something fishy about that if ya ask me. When someone knocked a parked car into the side of my trailer, I knew it, and pulled over accordingly. But then I'd been watching my mirrors, so I knew it was coming.
-
Had he stayed and given his information, most likely he wouldn't be charged with leaving the scene...
Okay, is it just me, or did I miss something here? Of course he wouldn't have been chardged with leaving the scene, because if he had stayed....he wouldn't have left the scene.
Man, the gene pool really needs some chlorine. -
ROFL might have to clip that out and send it to Leno!

No its not just you, that statement was pretty dumb.
