Our driver manager has only been there for about 8 months so giving them time to catch on is the right thing to do......but.....having to wait an hour and a half on the phone for a po number to pay for lumpers .....spending 2 hours on hold at a time this week with them knowing that the satellite communication unit in truck is not working and the phone is husband's only means of communication .....it's getting very frustrating! Our time and pay are suffering because of someone else. One day it was 5 hours of his 14 waiting on the phone for a number. TransAm has always been good to us, husband is a company driver but this is getting hard to take.

HometimeQueen Thanks this. -

I've been treated fine. I'm dispatched out of Olathe, but every time I have a problem, I just chose my words to make maximum impact(no, I've never sworn over the phone, but a good analogy/metaphor goes a long way).
Yeah, getting through when you call is quite aggrivating(especially when dealing with night dispatch). Thankfully my "Satellite" hasn't gone out on me yet, but I have been planned HORRIBLY the last 2 weeks(way too many times where i've been sitting 16 hours between loads). -
Actually, night dispatch has been easy to get ahold of in comparison to the day time crew. Who is your dm? As I said before we have been happy with TransAm, they have been good to us .....up until now. There are companies that pay more cpm but when you start breaking down the numbers TransAm is still a pretty good deal. But hours on the phone ....and hours on the phone....because someone doesn't know how to do their job ....it's wearing thin really fast.

How's the hometime with TA? Do they have any home run fleets like Roehl or Schneider? I live about an hour from Olathe but Roehl's 7/3 7/4 deal is pretty alluring. beautiful wife and 2 young boys at home so while I understand no denaro's if the wheels aren't turning, I also understand that money isn't as important as family and I can make it on 30-35k a year.
