I come off the road and this is the first thing I have to deal with. My backyard alone is over an 1.3 acres. It was over 12" high in some places. It's been a wet Spring here!

    So much for R&R.

    whambulance? Good one :)

Mowed, edged, raked some, fertilized the front yard, soaked in my Jacuzzi tub, now heading to the store for a 6 pack of cold Hefeweizen, tortilla chips & dip after which I will seat myself on my big man's leather recliner for some Bball playoffs :)

Back to reality this morning after hometime.

Got a run from Brooks to Atlanta. Can't complain about that. At least I don't have 6 stops and 40,000 lbs of plants to unload! ;-)

    I'll trade you yard woes!

just one of the 3 'small patches' of 'grass' (that is now 12"+ high) in my yard is 1.5 acres boo-hoo lol Then about 5 miles of trails that weave throughout the property to maintain and trim back. (we have 60 acres) I'm going to have a busy hometime...yay spring! lol
I've going to have to break out the John Deere 2040 with the bush hog to knock out some of it next week (7weeks out). I'm scared what it will look like by then. I'm just glad that like 50+ is wooded, but then I have all the fallen trees and the creek to worry about. But there are certainly worse problems to have.
Buying a 54" lawn tractor when I go home too. It's been a few years since I owned a home, I forgot how fast the money goes!

When you NEED this equipment to maintain your yard, you start second guessing your choices about how neat 60 acres sounds lol (Wish my JD had the loader)

Believe me, 2 acres is too much for an OTRoader. I'm positioning to sell and downsize hopefully within the next year. A Townhouse where someone else takes care of the maintenance, etc, is just alright by me!

That's the only real good thing about renting an apartment rather than owning... it's someone else's problem when something breaks. It's much like the relationship between a company driver and his truck.
