    Vera Lorraine Low passed away at her home in Springfield, MO on Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at the age of 86 after a long battle with cancer.



    Vera Alford Low was born on July 29, 1925 in Russellville, AR to Henry and Nona Alford. She is preceded in death by one brother, Colin Alford and 2 sisters, Christine and Nina. She is survived by one sister, Veta Metcalf of Orange, CA, one son, Robert E. Low, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Lawana Low as well as grandchildren, Robert Low, Jr., his wife, Gina Low and step-grandson, Shane Low. Vera is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Parker Jane Low, Greta Lynn Low and Robert Low, III and 2 step great-grandchildren, Dillon Robert Low and Caroline Nicole Low as well as several nieces and nephews.



    Vera Low was a co-founder of Prime, Inc. in Springfield, MO. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and also served as an elder of the church. She served as an active member of the Board of Trustees for Bethel University, McKenzie, TN, where her efforts were instrumental in the growth and development of the University.
