I recently am looking for a career change. do not have a whole lot of money was checking out some web sites online and came accross a job placement company of course I had to inquire, they told me of the process which seems reasonable the only thing of course is paying $595.00 up front, I do not know if it is a scam or if it is sort of a decent way to scope out a company for me. If any one who has dealt with this company and has some feed back please help me out

I have spoken with a guy from TRS also and I thought they seemed legit. I am seriously thinking about it after speaking with him for over an hour today. There was no pressure, he really answered all of my questions and what I liked most was he absolutely did not guarantee me a job. Just guaranteed me a job offer(s) He even told me to take my time and make sure this was the career path I wanted to follow. I have done a lot of research online in forums just like this one and there are a lot of dissatisfied truckers out there that have been taken advantage of by "Big Companies" I am sure I do not need to mention names, just look in the "report a bad trucking company here" section. As far as if it is a Scam or not I can not be sure, I feel I am a pretty good judge of character and I just did not get any "bad feelings" from this guy. I'll let you know though as I am going to go through with it. If it turns out to be a scam then I am out some money, but then I will let as many people know online and save some others from being scammed. Stay tuned.
bigdipper Thanks this. -
Well I am set up to arrive on the 7th of may. So far all seems legit, got an offer from a decent carrier, just anticipating what will be happening. I will try to fill you in on what will be taking place up here I will hopefully have computer access. to fill you in. They did seem very cautious on what I was wanting to do and I could only appreciate the fact that they were not pushing me into my decision so I hope it is worth the labor.

Yeah, definitely keep me posted if you can. If you don't mind me asking, what school do they have you going to and what carrier? I am calling them tomorrow to get them paid and will wait to hear. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info from all of you and please keep us posted to your progress!
I also spoke to TRS today, also, and I'm giving it serious considerations! -
well I have finished my first week of school and I will tell you it is no cake walk. But that does not matter since that is what i would expect, the instructors are very knowledgable and pretty strict and with good reason I was informed not to give any info on the school or company gator bait other than the school is in Missouri and the company is in the mid west, been doing some straight line yesterday but that permit test was a booger so read the book prepare as much as you can cause it seems to not come natural for some students, I prepared as much as i could and still felt i should have done better, now so far everything is going as i hoped it would these next two weeks will be the real test. I really do enjoy this though cause they do have all the answers.
