Zink Inc.

I also had a horrible experience with Zink Inc. through Transport America, a truck broker in Tennessee. I had a SOC empty container that arrived in Long Beach, Ca on Monday and was available on Thursday and had to be delivered the next Monday. I monitored the container and advised Transport America when the container was fully released and available for pick up. Sent them the delivery order to pick up and verified that they had everything and that the container was available for pickup at PCT. Transport America hired Zink to do the move. Zink went in to pick up and did not have an interchange agreement with the port and the port would not release the container to them. I was told that the container was picked up and would be delivered as scheduled. Find out Friday when I followed up with Transport America that the container was not picked up as I was told and spent all day Friday arranging the pick up and now 2 drivers had to deliver. I gave Transport America all my numbers, cell, home, office, and advised them to call me immediately if there were any problems
or delays. Got a call Friday evening that the team had picked up the container and were headed EAST, container would be delivered Monday as scheduled. I was off on Monday and when my boss checked the container had not been delivered. I get in Tuesday and from 7:30 am until after 5 pm, I went back and forth with Transport America and Zink Inc. The container also left with 1 driver and not 2 like Transport America told us. We found out that only 1 driver had the container and never was this mentioned by Transport America until we told them and then they admitted that they knew this. In my opinion, Transport America would have charged us for a team if we had not known this. Zink would not deliver my container unless Transport America gave them a Comm check and Transport America would not give Zink Inc. a comm check until the container was off loaded at the consignee!!! I sent over 20 emails and at least that many phone calls to get this nightmare settled!!! I was lied to by Transport America and Zink Inc. and will NEVER use either one for anything ever again. Horrible companies!!!!!
