Just bought a Garmin Dezl 560 LT. Love it. I had the Rand McNally 710 and it gave me numerous problems. This thing runs like a dream.

pcm also has the ability to use zip codes. works better then trying to do a surrounding search.

type in the zip instead of the city.

i've had my quirks with pcm. but for the price. and overall satisfaction. i have been more happy then any other gps i have tried. i actually started with copilot for the phone which is the same company as pcm. but then i moved up to handhelds. and ended up with the pcm.

granted it don't have bells and whistles. but at least it gets me there. and it does it in a more timely route.

Seems like the only way I can get what I need (or want) is to have multiple GPS's running. Currently I have my TND500, a DEZL560LT, and a 7" Samsung Galaxy tablet running PC Miler Co-Pilot live (car version until they put out a premium truck version).

The two truck specific ones disagree enough that when they do agree I listen. Today the DEZL had a fit when I took US40 from I-68 in MD to I-77 in PA. It kept telling me it was a road with a 5 ton limit. If I didn't have the Rand McNally routing me down it I might have second guessed myself.

I really like the galaxy running pc miler android software. It is closer to google maps than the others with the ability to "drag" the route where you want. You are also able to move the navigation screen around by touching it with your finger and dragging the screen to see the roads ahead (something I use frequently) or with two fingers "pinching" to show more area around you or doing the opposite to zoom in.

Both the Garmin and the TND have the touch and drag capabilty as well but they both perform the task so badly they're almost worthless. Not to mention now the Garmin jumps to a second screen and zooms out to the whole length of the trip when all I'm trying to do is see the names of the next couple of immediate roads. Who thought that was a good idea?

It would be a thing of beauty to have all the features a driver needs in one. :biggrin_255:

True i have heard the new PCM app is stellar with the ability to use multi-gestures. I almost bought an Android based GPS tablet with built in wifi intending to put the Co-pilot app on it. Seeing that the truck services were not yet available on the App I got the standalone unit for a good discount with a boatload of Pilot/J-points to put towards it instead.

I read apparently the Android App is available free if you know where to find it and you pay to download the maps. I have also been reading if you currently have a windows CE based mapset it will work with the Android app. I haven't the hardware to try this as of yet but had seen reference to it on a couple of cell phone sites.
