One of my coworkers is looking for a job in the Philadelphia area. He has good driving experiences hauling all types of loads. His driving record is good as well. Are there any driver leasing companies or company's with trucks that are looking for drivers right now in the Philadelphia area? Thanks.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

The company I work for is a great company, and I know they are always looking for the best drivers on the road. The name of the company is Strategic Logistics Staffing, and they are a driver leasing company. They do a really good job of training their drivers on the company that they are working for and they really focus on safety. One of the companies they work at had a safe stat rating of 76 and 74 when they started, and they drove those #'s down to 30 and 50, and every month it gets better. I always promote them because they pay a nice referral fee if I bring in another driver, and I actually like the company, so it is not hard to promote them.

I've been with land transport/ evans delivery for some time and they suck. I used to run out of Philly PA. Their pay is low and the wait to load/unload is slow as well. The manager, mike, is as dumb as the donkey. This terminal, out of Philadelphia area, has its own favorites. They give loads to their own people and let others, who is not the "own" circle, run for peanuts. You can try them if you want. However, I would recommend to save about $5-$6k before trying, you'll needed for fuel and maintenance. There is another company, Which I will not mention, is a lot better than Land. A lot better and fairer. STAY AWAY FROM LAND TRANSPORTATION, also known as evans delivery. One more thing, If you want to gross $2k per week and be home everyday, and run about 1500-1800mi than, this might be the company for you.

The company that you won't tell us the name of? That's helpful...
